Ireland’s Cabinet which is the country’s executive arm has approved the 5th Anti Money Laundering (AML) directive which is designed to be a financial watchdog to help regulate digital assets.\ The new bill will touch on crypto trading platform providers as well as wallet holders for crypto investors. It will also end anonymity when it comes to bank savings accounts. In the event that the bill passes, the country will require operators to carry out stricter due diligence when dealing with investors.
